By Christopher McLarney 7/10 Crash Bandicoot is Sony’s Version of Mario and Sonic, all these games started out as Platformers and since Sony saw the success that Nintendo was having with Mario and how Sega had their success with Sonic they were like “We see what you did and we want that” and so Crash Bandicoot came into play. The only thing that was different from Crash’s first game and Mario and Sonic’s was that Crash’s was a 3D game where Mario and Sonic’s was was a 2D side scroller, The first of Crash’s Games was in 1996 and so was Mario and Sonic’s first 3D Games also game out in 1996 those being Mario’s “Super Mario 64” and Sonic’s “Sonic 3D Blast” even though Crash’s First Game was late compared to the Mario and Sonic Series, Crash Bandicoot was a very successful game and most of the games afterward continued to be successful, and yes even the Spin Series like Nitro Cart. A second look: By Bianca Lawrence The game Crash Bandicoot is a game that many would love to play if you like to play games to where you're trying to defeat your opponent. When you first start the game your character ‘Tiny ’ would try to defeat Tiny Tiger ( I think that’s his name) and once you do then you’ll have to defeat the lions, which was hard to figure out which attacks were possible to use. But the game is what I would call aggravating since it's a hard game to play,it’s either you get smashed by Tiny Tiger or you get eaten’ by lions(or at least when I played). But I would say it was a pretty fun game to play,it just makes you want to destroy the component more and more every time you lose.

Final Fight 2 Review By Cody Maraman final fight 2 was fun to me...for the first five minutes. To me it was too linear, the combat system was simplistic the environments were boring and the enemies were not varied in any way except some being able to pick you up and some having more health than others. It eventually got boring and the lack of variation or dynamic didn't help me keep interest. To me it was boring and was not a fun game. But maybe thats what the point is....at the time games didn't have much variation, around the time period this was made, games like mega man x were revolutionary due to the new emphasis on story and formula. video games were a simple pass time and not considered the action adventures that they are today. Final fight 2 accomplished that well. It was an arcade game that was ported to consoles. Its simple and intuitive and not frightening to newcomers that have an interest in the game, it offers a simple, easy to understand atmosphere that is a fun time waster. As that it succeeds amazingly, and in doing that, inspired many modern games that built on that simple formula with story, characters, and plots (i.e GTA Arkham ect.). in conclusion.... As a modern, well made, and intuitive game, final fight 2 fails, but as a simple, easy to pick up, fun time waster, that acted as a stepping stone for modern games- Final fight 2 gets a perfect score |
